I've been doing field work this summer and caught some cichlids in the process. I work in FL, where cichlids are invasive. We are not supposed to let any invasive species back into the water (kill them). Instead of doing that, I decided to start a Local Invasives tank.

My new Jewel Cichlid
Adult Myan. He was returned to the creek. Due to his size, keeping him would have affected the results of the study.
I've since caught another Jewel Chichlid, and a Myan Cichlid for the tank.

Pretty cool - funnily enough, next month Chuck Rambo is going to speak at my cichlid club's meeting about a "Poor Mans Collecting Trip: Cichlid Collecting in FLA and Fish Farms" _________________ ~Lively |
